Today we did Internet search on famous land mark locations.

Monday, January 30th

We learned that google account privacy policy is changing March 1, 2012. Also how to upload files from your computer to your google account and share with someone.

Friday, January 27th

Today we searched multiple search engines, like Google and Yahoo, for results on our names. We then did an advanced search, which did not get as many results as the default search. The reason why is because the advanced search only looks for the specific information you typed while the default search looks for any of the words you typed.

Thursday, January 26th

Today we looked at various Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Firefox. Google Chrome is currently the second-most popular Internet browser with Firefox in the lead.

Wednesday, January 25th

Today we learned what a QR Reader does and what companies use them for. We also learned what is rude to do with you cell phone around other people, such as answering the phone when other people are talking to you and texting while your at dinner with someone.

Tuesday, January 24th

we talked about not texting or calling while driving. Also the top 10 most annoy things about cells phones.

Thursday January 19th

Today computer 7 learned that the number of text messages = the population of the earth. We also learned that teens text during homework, eating and class work. six million adults listen to podcasts daily. Also one out of eight married couples meet online. 200 million+ have a Facebook account.

Computer 7 - 1/18/12

Today we don't have class because of an early our due to professional development. My Computer 7 students will start blogging our class topics daily. Each day one student will take the last 5 minutes of class to blog at least two things that were discussed in class that day.
